Manatee Primary Care welcomes new patients in Bradenton and surrounding communities for annual physicals, preventive care, and ongoing primary care.
Why Annual Physicals Matter
Many serious health conditions, high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, and even certain cancers, develop silently, without obvious symptoms. By the time you feel something is wrong, the condition may already be advanced. An annual physical exam is your best defense: it gives your doctor a complete picture of your health every year, so problems can be caught and treated early, when outcomes are best.
At Manatee Primary Care in Bradenton, Dr. Milian, MD, CWSP uses your annual physical to review your medical history, update your medications, order appropriate lab work, perform preventive screenings, and build a personalized plan to keep you healthy in the year ahead. It is also the right time to discuss any concerns you have been putting off, from fatigue and weight changes to mental health and sleep.
The American Academy of Family Physicians and the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force support preventive care visits for adults. Most insurance plans, including Medicare, cover these visits. View all primary care services →

Do I Need Blood Work With My Annual Physical?
Laboratory testing is individualized, not every patient automatically requires the same blood work. Dr. Milian determines which labs are appropriate based on your age, medical history, current symptoms, medications, and personal risk factors. There is no one-size-fits-all panel.
When lab work is indicated, common panels may include:
Manatee Primary Care has in-house lab capabilities and partners with Quest Diagnostics for a full range of panels. Results are typically available within 1–3 business days, and Dr. Milian will review them with you directly. View accepted insurance and lab information →
Preventive Screenings and Health Maintenance
Age- and risk-appropriate preventive care may include screening for high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, colorectal cancer, breast cancer, cervical cancer, osteoporosis, and other conditions when appropriate. Dr. Milian follows U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) guidelines and will order or refer you for screenings based on your individual profile.
Vaccinations for Adults
Vaccines are not just for children. Adults need regular immunizations to stay protected against serious infections. During your annual physical, Dr. Milian will review your vaccination history and recommend any vaccines that are due or overdue. Commonly recommended adult vaccines include:

Insurance and Self-Pay Options
Manatee Primary Care accepts Medicare and multiple commercial insurance plans. Annual preventive exams are typically covered under most plans, but coverage varies, we encourage patients to verify their individual preventive-care and laboratory benefits before their visit, as benefits differ by plan.

We will always be transparent about how your visit is being coded.
